The City of Covington Economic Development Department (“EDD”) created its official website www.thecovky.gov as a public service to provide information about City economic development initiatives, services, programs, and officials. The City EDD makes information available on its website to enhance public knowledge and promote a better understanding of the EDD. The website is a supplement to and not a replacement for information available from City offices or City’s official website (www.covingtonky.gov). The City reserves the right to determine what information shall and shall not be placed on the website.

Information presented on this website is collected, maintained, and provided for the convenience of the user. While every effort is made to keep such information accurate, complete and timely, the City/EDD does not certify the authenticity of any information provided on this website. Under no circumstances will the City/EDD be liable for any actions taken or omissions made from reliance on any information contained herein from whatever source, nor will the City/EDD be liable for any other consequences from any such reliance.

Information provided on the City’s EDD website should not be used as a substitute for legal, accounting, real estate, business, tax or other professional advice. The City/EDD assumes no liability for any damages or loss of any kind that might arise from the use of, misuse of, or the inability to use the City’s EDD website and/or the materials or information contained on its website. The City/EDD website contains links to local, state and federal government agencies and to other non-government websites. In establishing and maintaining its official website, the City EDD does not intend to create any forum or other means for public discourse. Rather, the sole and limited purpose of the permitted external links is to provide information about the City EDD for residents, businesses and visitors. The City/EDD does not endorse or provide preferential treatment to any third-party websites or associated organizations or persons. Since the City/EDD does not control third-party websites, it does not warrant those third-party websites are accurate or reliable or have operational links. The user acknowledges and agrees that the City/EDD is not liable in any way for the content, accuracy, reliability, viewpoints, policies, or products provided by these external resources.

The City of Covington will maintain complete editorial control over all the material present on the online calendar and reserves the right to change, add, or remove content without notice. Information on the calendar is limited to those meetings, programs and events sponsored or co-sponsored by the EDD.

The City/EDD uses linking and searching capabilities to navigate publicly available information from many websites that are not part of our website. The privacy policies and procedures described here will most likely not apply to those external sites. We suggest contacting these sites directly if you want information on their data collection and distribution policies.

The City/EDD is highly sensitive to the privacy and security interests of its residents and believes that the protection of those interests is one of its most important responsibilities. The City/EDD uses firewalls and other security technology to prevent its computers from being accessed by unauthorized persons. During the course of a credit card transaction on the website, all information submitted by a user is stored on a secured server. To perform services involving a credit card transaction, the City must, of course, pass information about the transaction to a user’s financial institution. This information shall not be construed as warranting the security of information provided via the City’s EDD website.

While the City/EDD provides the information on all its publication channels to everyone, all information and materials provided on this website are the property of the City/EDD. You may print copies of the information for your own personal use or reference this server from your own documents without our permission.

  • Any exceptions to this policy are the images available on the free image gallery page.
