John Sadosky serves as Economic Development Director for the City of Covington, Kentucky, where he leads efforts to retain, grow, and attract private investment, advance strategic redevelopment initiatives, and strengthen the city’s economy and neighborhoods. Since joining the City in 2024, he has helped lead business attraction
efforts, structure development incentives, and advance major redevelopment projects, including the Covington Central Riverfront, a 23-acre mixed-use neighborhood on the former IRS site. He also serves as Executive Director of the Covington Economic Development Authority.
Sadosky brings more than a decade of experience in economic development across the public and private sectors. Prior to joining the City of Covington, he held economic
development roles with REDI Cincinnati, the City of Cincinnati, and global consulting firm EY, where he advised companies on location strategy and investment decisions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Policy from Georgia State University and is an active member of the Kentucky Economic Development Association and the Leadership Northern Kentucky Class of 2027.
Sadosky is passionate about preserving the city’s distinctive character while creating new opportunities for jobs, housing, business growth, and vibrant neighborhoods.
Outside of work, he enjoys photography, music production, cycling, and spending time with his wife, Donna, and their two young children.
