As Covington’s Infrastructure Specialist, Kyle assists Covington businesses with their utilities and other needs, leads the Quality of Place Grant Program, and serves as liaison with the Public Works Department. He’s also the person you want to know on the subject of parking: He’s the Executive Director of the Covington Motor Vehicle Parking Authority.
Work with government began in 1996 for Kyle when he worked with the Tongass National Forest in Sitka, Alaska. Later, he returned home to work for the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission (now the “Planning and Development Services of Kenton County”), the Clermont County (Ohio) Auditor’s Office, and Hamilton County (Ohio) Community Development.
Kyle is co-founder and past president of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP) and the IKO (Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio) Chapter of GITA (Geospatial and Information Technologies Association), as well as a member of the National Parking Association. Kyle has a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Miami University, in Oxford, OH and a Certification as a GIS Professional (GISP).
