Kaitlin Bryan is the Historic Preservation Officer and Regulatory Services Manager for the City of Covington. Her role includes leading the regulatory services team as well as serving the many historic districts throughout the city. The regulatory services team primarily works on issuing zoning permits and certificates of appropriateness, as well as assisting developers and contractors in coordination with other city or county departments. However, her passion is preservation, and she greatly enjoys working with homeowners, local tradespeople, as an advocate for what keeps Covington unique.
Kaitlin is a member of the Cincinnati Preservation Association, the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation Leadership Forum. Kaitlin is also on the Northern Kentucky Restoration Weekend planning committee and works closely with the Covington Academy of Heritage Trades which is administered by Enzweiler Building Institute. Additionally, Kaitlin is a Covington Partners mentor at Holmes High School.
Prior to joining the city and moving to northern Kentucky, Kaitlin worked at Habitat for Humanity in Vancouver, WA, first as an AmeriCorps member, then as the home repair program coordinator. She earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Kentucky and received a certificate in Preservation Studies from Tulane University.
